Avocado

Avocado

Avocado is called Alligator pear due to its green skin, rough texture and size, especially the Hass Avocado. There are about 80 types of avocados and Hass avocado is the most common one of them all. Avocados were used instead of butter by the European sailors. Avocados are rich in potassium, fibre and vitamins K, C, B6 and folate. You can get about 160 calories by eating half of an avocado. Avocados are good sources of antioxidants and therefore it is a good idea to include avocado oil or avocado in your salads
